A sister to cilantro — both come from the same plant — coriander seed has a lovely, fragrant aroma once ripened. All parts of the plant are edible, but the fresh leaves and the dried seeds are the parts most traditionally used in cooking.
Suggested Uses:Add to soups, stews and pot roasts for added flavor and a warming aroma. Use in pickling brines, mulling spices, savory sauces and Vietnamese Pho (remove before serving). Add to beverages like chai tea, hot toddies or homemade liqueurs.
