Calor style tapers are thicker and recessed so you can fit the jewelry inside the taper; this helps prevent slippage while chasing the jewelry through. Check the chart below to compare thickness and diameter of each taper.
These ‘calor style’ tapers are made of 304 Stainless Steel. These tapers can be autoclaved and reused.
Each taper is 2″ in length and tapers down 2 gauges smaller than the listed size.
For example, a 0g (8mm) taper at its thinnest point is approximately 4g (5mm).
